Information release: Update from Lyon County Sheriff’s Office
On March 7, 2020 at approximately 11:15pm Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of Jeanette Drive in Moundhouse on a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Deputies located a UTV, which had rolled when the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating a turn in the road. One adult male subject sustained the partial loss of three fingers. He was subsequently transported to the hospital. A second adult male occupant sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries and refused medical attention on scene.

11:00pm – A man driving a dune buggy late Friday night took the corner on Jeanette Road in Dayton a bit too fast according to Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies. They and an NHP Trooper were checking out the skid and roll-marks on Jeanette Road a bit south of Highway 50, near 431.
Reports say that the dune buggy took the corner on Jeanette too fast and the vehicle rolled partially ejecting the driver causing terrible damage to one of his hands. He was to be Careflighted to Renown in Reno for treatment.
