The Carson City Health Department just announced that a “presumptive” case of “Covid-19 virus” has shown up in Carson City. A sample was taken from the person, a sample that is now enroute to be tested by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to determine if it is what they fear it is.
The elderly woman was visiting San Jose, CA and became ill. She returned to Carson City and medical officials say samples they took from her are being tested at the CDC. However, conversations with the woman produced a comment from her that she woke up this morning feeling very good. Much better than previous days.
But there is the added element of the 49 Nevadans aboard the cruise ship Grand Princess who have been declared “asymptomatic” which means they may be carrying the virus but they show no symptoms. Governor Sisolak offered to send all 49 to a Nevada military base where they could carry out their two week incubation period to determine if they really do have the Covid-19 virus. But the CDC turned him down. So they’re waiting to find out where they’re going to go to fulfill the rest of their 14 day confinement.
