Kiwanis Meals-on-Wheels still needs our support so others may survive the plague of Covid-19

Tough times require tough volunteers to keep the most vulnerable among us alive and thriving. Carson City Kiwanis once again is calling on the Carson City Community to help them serve children, the elderly and disabled – those who are running out of ways to help themselves.

Carson City Kiwanis remains committed to its mission despite the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to keep the faith, Carson City Kiwanis has set up a link on its website to accept donations for the Meals on Wheels program. ALL proceeds will go to the  Meals on Wheels program in Carson City

Carson City Kiwanis asks our fellow Carson City citizens to donate at least $10. But for those who have weathered the Covid-19 plague, donations can be as high as $500. It’s an amount that goes a long way to help our community’s victims of the panemic that will be with us for at least a three to six more months. Many pharmaceutical research firms are getting closer and closer to creating several versions of vaccines to rid our nation and our world of this deadly virus.

In the meantime, we all can donate by going online at carsoncitykiwanis.square.site/product/meals-on-wheels-donation/4 and use your credit or debit card. Whether it’s $10 or $100 or more, you are helping your fellow human beings survive the worst viral invasion in many decades. We all must be life-boats for each other so we all may recover and once again celebrate life in our beautiful and welcoming Carson City.

This fundraiser will be held ongoing through June 7th at which time donation amounts will be totaled and donated to the Carson City Senior Citizen’s Center. Carson City Kiwanis is a an official non-profit charitable organization. Donations are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in accordance with Code section 170.

Please make checks payable to Carson City Kiwanis and write in the memo: Meals on Wheels. Checks can be sent to P.O. Box 922, Carson City, NV 89702-0922.

For more information, please call (775) 400-2650, or email service@carsoncitykiwanis.org, or send us a direct message on our Facebook (facebook.com/carsoncitykiwanis) or Instagram (@carsoncitykiwanis).

Thank you.
