It’s that time of year….AGAIN. Summertime outdoor watering will be limited somewhat so residents and business owners don’t overdo it. It’s an annual reminder that watering every day is a BIG NO-NO. We live on the edge of a desert and we all have to behave like we understand.
Here’s the schedule: June 2nd is the actual first-of-the-week watering day of the season and will be through September 30th. Watering days – for ODD numbered addresses – are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and for EVEN numbered addresses it’s Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Watering is allowed in the morning up to 10am. Then turn it off. Watering can then resume after 6pm. Again, no watering on Mondays.
However, there is hand watering! Hand watering is allowed when flowers, shrubs and vegetables need it. But remember, don’t water when it’s too hot or too windy. Again all outside watering starts Tuesday, June 2nd and runs to the last day of September.
