The Carson City Supervisors went round and round Thursday, trying to come up with a plan to find a good candidate to take the place of Ward 3 Supervisor Lori Bagwell. Soon-to-be Mayor Lori Bagwell won the mayor’s electoral race recently and so now the race is on to find a good candidate to take her place.
The Supervisors decided they want to attract as many Supervisor candidates as possible. And so they set out to do just that. The Board of Supervisors will buy some advertising in a couple of local newspapers and radio stations asking citizens who imagine themselves sitting on the Board of Supervisors to submit their applications.
Applications will be accepted at City Hall from September 14th to October 9th. Please excuse the tight time line, but the Supervisors don’t want to dilly-dally around. They want a full roster of supervisors to help navigate Carson City through some tough political and economic times that have gripped the country.
Again, those who would like to fill the Supervisor seat vacated by soon-to-be-Mayor Lori Bagwell, start dusting up your resume and descriptions of your municipal prowess and turn them in at City Hall by October 9th.
