A report from Carson City Schools of Covid-19 threat to our schools…
From Carson City School District
The Carson City School District is monitoring the health of our students and staff and sharing public health information provided by the Carson City Health & Human Services (CCHHS). Our families and employees are notified by CCHHS whenever there is a positive COVID-19 case in their building. At that point, the Carson City Health Department begins contact tracing to determine exposure and then makes all determinations on which students and staff will be excluded from a building. Contact tracing is conducted by a contracted firm, Deloitte. Members of the public are urged to respond to telephone calls from Deloitte.
The school district works closely with CCHHS to provide information such as contact info, seating charts, class schedules, bus routes and any other information required to assist them in contact tracing. Please note, below active cases are listed. These are not outbreaks. Outbreaks are defined as two or more laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases among students or staff with onsets within a 14-day period, who are epidemiologically linked, do not share a household, and were not identified as close contacts of each other in another setting during standard care investigation or contact tracing.
