In U.S. Congressional District 2, incumbent republican Mark Amodei is leading Douglas County challenger Patricia Ackerman by a 56% to 41% margin.
The State Senate District 15 race is very close – Heidi Gansert at 51% and Jauregui-Jackins at 49%.
In the State Senate District 6 race Nicole Cannizzaro is beating April Becker at 50.5% to 49.5%.
The Supreme Court Seat D race finds Douglas Herndon at 46% against his challenger Ozzie Fumo at 36.5.%
Question 4 was taken out for a quick spin to see if the voters were up for having expanded voting rights added to Nevada’s political process – 62.9% voted yes – 37.1% voted no. Question 4 would make all qualified and otherwise registered voters be allowed to vote.
These are by no means the extent of the vote tallies in our area. More information will certainly be made available in the morning.
