Sheriff’s Deputies arrests what appeared to be a delusional man with a gun…
Carson City Sheriff’s Deputies converged on an apartment complex at 400 Lepire Drive after neighbors heard gunshots in the wee hours of the morning coming from apartment #120.
Neighbors told deputies that Ryan Tookey, 29, believing two men were trying to break in to his apartment, shot bullets through his apartment back door before sunrise. It was established that there was no one at the back door.
Deputies found a stolen car in Tookey’s possession. Inside the car were two sets of stolen license plates. Deputies say it appears that Tookey drove the car to a local casino. Deputies say the car was confiscated and Tookey was taken in to custody.
Tookey was booked for Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and an Illegal Discharge of a Weapon. His bail was set at nearly $50,000.
