Don’t drive sleepy and don’t drive without your seat belt…
On Saturday, January 9th at approximately 2:21 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a crash involving a single vehicle on US-95 and Mineral County mile marker 89.
Preliminary investigation shows that a maroon 2002 Pontiac Grand Am was northbound on US-95 near Mineral County mile marker 89. The vehicle crossed the centerline, went off the west shoulder and overturned, coming to rest on its roof.
The driver, Jonathan McMahon, a 46-year-old Las Vegas resident, was unrestrained and declared deceased at the scene.
This crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.)
