Raspberry-filled Churros Help Spread the Love for Valentine’s Day
Carson City — Although more traditionally known for his signature bow and arrow, Cupid donned a chef’s hat earlier today in Carson City. Food and Nutrition workers cooked up some Valentine’s Day love for students in the Carson City School District.
Understanding holidays have been anything but normal the past 11 months, employees at the school district went out of their way to share proverbial “Hugs and Kisses” with young romantics. In their minds, nothing warms the heart quite like fresh baked pizza, strawberry milk and raspberry-filled churros.
Some students used common Valentine’s Day Conversation Heart colloquialisms to describe the “Sweet Treat,” saying it was the “Best Day,” “Super Cool,” or these are “All Mine!” And in another student’s opinion, “It tastes like the fair.”
