Signs of a Covid-19 surge in northwest Nevada

Quad-County COVID-19 Update: 36 New Cases and 42 Recoveries

(Carson City, NV)- Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting 36 new cases and 42 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 12,040, with 11,424 recoveries and 222 deaths; 394 cases remain active.

Mobile Vaccination Unit

The Mobile Vaccination Units (MVU) were launched by the State of Nevada, FEMA, and local partners to bring COVID-19 vaccines to rural areas. The units will be providing the single-dose Janssen vaccine to walk-up registrants on a first-come, first-served vases. The Janssen vaccine has been authorized for use in those 18 years and older.

The MVU will be coming to the Quad-County Region:

  • Douglas County
    • April 10, 2021 | 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Topaz Ranch Estates Community Center (3939 Carter Dr, Wellington)
  • Lyon County
    • April 12, 2021 | 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Lyon County Human Services (620 Lake St, Silver Springs)

 

Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing for Quad-County Residents
