Carson City Supervisors are getting bold and brave when it comes to the Covid-19 virus.

Corona Virus – Starting to fade as more people get vaccinated.

Carson City Supervisors drop most Covid-19 restrictions

The Carson City Board of Supervisors have removed most of the remaining local COVID-19 restrictions effective today.  It means that the Supervisors believe that enough Carson area residents have gotten 1 or 2 doses of the vaccine.  But everyone must still comply with occupancy numbers in restaurants, stores, hair salons, fitness centers and other indoor venues.  They can enjoy full occupancy as long as people wear their face masks inside the buildings.

The new regulations require that face masks must still be worn indoors as mandated by the state of Nevada.  Those who are fully-vaccinated can go maskless outdoors except at crowded outdoor events such as concerts or other heavily attended venues.

Health officials say the masks can be thrown away when a lot more people are vaccinated. But that could take months. There is likely also a requirement that those who are fully vaccinated need to carry their vaccination card to prove they’re safe to move about the town.  Anyone who is still a little bit in the dark about all this can call the local health department hotline at 775-434-1988.
Nearly 53 percent of Carson City residents have received at least one dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and 44 percent are now fully vaccinated because they got both shots.  The only valid one-shot anti-Covid-19 vaccine is from Johnson & Johnson.
