The Carson City School District has decided that despite the federal Centers for Disease Control announcing that wearing masks for the remainder of the school year are generally not needed, the school district announced, in so many words, ‘NOT SO FAST.’
School officials have decided that face masks will be worn in Carson City Schools. Although the CDC eased outdoor and indoor mask-wearing for those who are FULLY vaccinated (those who got their shots more than two weeks ago) – the school district determined it would still abide by orders set forth in the COVID-19 Mitigation Transition Plan established by the Carson City Board of Supervisors. The plan requires masks indoors and where individuals are unable to socially distance themselves regardless of when they received their last vaccination.
We ain’t outta the woods yet. Not by a long shot.
