Carson City — As part of the Carson City School District’s Safe Reopening Plan for the 2021-2022 school year, the district will host a workshop to discuss and obtain public input Tuesday, June 22, 6 p.m., prior to the scheduled 7 p.m. school board meeting, in the Robert Crowell Board Room at the Carson City Community Center. It is anticipated that districts and schools will open for the 2021-2022 school year to offer in-person learning to all students.
Schools and districts are to seek public input in determining revisions to its plan. The Carson City School District invites citizens, parents, students, tribal leaders and public agencies to participate. To accommodate student and family health and safety concerns, and the potential need for students to have access to education while under quarantine, all districts and schools will provide a distance education option for students throughout the remainder of the Governor’s Declaration of the COVID-19 emergency. Therefore, all districts and schools must submit a Distance Education Plan for the 2021-22 school year.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and end promptly at 7 p.m. Please click here to view the current draft of the Safe School Reopening Plan 2021-2022.
