A little bit of nutritional insight…Carson Farmers Market

Happy Thanksgiving
Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins! This is my favorite time of the year and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
I love baking and cooking and most of all spending time with family.
November is the National Month of Gratitude! There is a lot to be grateful for every month not just in November.
It’s important to me to look back on the year and all the things I accomplished, the times that put a smile on my face, and the times I made a difference in someone’s life. It’s important to our future self to look at all the positive things in our lives and to be grateful for those moments.
In this newsletter, we’re sharing favorite recipes of the season that may help strengthen your immune system using the things we all have in our house from herbs, meat, veggies and fruits.
We hope that you have a joyous Thanksgiving and get the opportunity to slow down a little and give thanks for the important things in our lives.

FOODS THAT MAY HELP STRENGTHEN
OUR IMMUNE SYSTEMS
Supporting our immune system all year round is super important. Why don’t we work on strengthening our immune system rather than just treating the disease? During the winter months, the cold and flu viruses tend to become more active so we might want to take extra measures.
Herbs and foods have been around for centuries. Herbs and foods work with your body instead of against it like some man-made drugs. Herbs and foods are more than just drugs, they are food too. They contain vitamins and minerals that will give your body the nutrients it needs to be healthy. Herbs can be so powerful in healing your whole self from inside and outside.
Fresh produce, herbs and responsibly raised meats can contain more vitamins and minerals for a more nutrient-dense diet.
