Help is on the way!  After months of hard work, the American Rescue Plan has been signed into law, including key provisions I secured for Nevadans. Getting this virus under control and our economy back on track is my top priority, and I am confident that this new law will deliver for our state and the American people.
Here’s what you can expect from this coronavirus relief package to bring the pandemic to heel and get us back to normal:

  • Stimulus checks of up to $1,400
  • Vaccines, vaccines, vaccines – $20 billion for a national vaccination program
  • More funds to quickly and safely open schools
  • Tax credits to help 94% of Nevada’s children and cut child poverty in half nationwide
  • Rental and mortgage assistance
  • Continued unemployment benefits
  • 100% coverage of COBRA benefits, which I worked to include for Nevada workers
  • Expanded health care tax credits that can be used on Nevada Health Link
  • Protection of the benefits that retirees have earned and fought for
  • New loans and support for small businesses, restaurants, and other cornerstones of our neighborhoods

I’m going to make sure this help gets where it needs to go in our communities, and I’ll keep working in the Senate so that everyone in the Silver State benefits from a robust recovery. And if you need help, make sure you call my office. We’ll get right on it.
